In New York City, more than 7000 nurses went on a strike due to concerns of staffing shortages, and patient care concerns.

Healthcare systems throughout the country have been faced with overwhelming results of the ongoing nursing shortage.

The Department of Health & Human Services study projected that the demand for registered nurses would hit more than 3.6 million by the year 2030.
