Welcoming Our New Pediatric Medical Director, Dr. Nicole Patterson
At AccessNurse, our commitment to delivering high-quality nurse triage care begins with clinical leadership. We’re proud to welcome Dr. Nicole Patterson as our new Pediatric Medical Director, bringing with her a wealth of clinical expertise, educational leadership, and a deep passion for pediatric emergency medicine.
Dr. Patterson is board-certified in both Pediatrics and Pediatric Emergency Medicine and has spent the past decade serving in various leadership roles at the NCH Pediatric Emergency Department in Naples, Florida.
Her impressive career is complemented by her work as an Assistant Professor at Mayo Clinic Alix School of Medicine and her involvement in multiple committees and quality improvement initiatives focused on pediatric care.
With a strong academic background, including training at the University of Florida, UNC-Chapel Hill, and Nationwide Children’s Hospital; Dr. Patterson brings not only extensive clinical knowledge, but also a deep commitment to continuous learning and team development.
Dr. Patterson’s guidance will help strengthen our pediatric triage standards and elevate how we train and support our triage nurses. We’re excited to collaborate with her as we continue to provide safe, efficient, and compassionate care for pediatric patients and their families.
Thank You, Dr. Lise Christensen
As we welcome Dr. Patterson, we also extend our heartfelt thanks to Dr. Lise Christensen, who has served as AccessNurse’s Pediatric Medical Director since 2018. Dr. Christensen has been an integral part of shaping our pediatric triage program, from overseeing clinical protocols to providing vital guidance to our triage nursing staff.
With more than 25 years of pediatric experience, Dr. Christensen brought clarity, compassion, and clinical excellence to every aspect of her work. Her leadership was especially critical during periods of change and growth within our organization, and her dedication has left a lasting impact on our team and the patients we serve.
While Dr. Christensen will be stepping away from her leadership role, we remain deeply grateful for her contributions and the strong foundation she has helped build for the future of pediatric triage at AccessNurse.
