Back-to-School Checklist Now Includes COVID-19 Vaccines For Some Parents

COVID-19 Vaccine for Vaccines & Infant Toddlers Cleared

The use of COVID-19 vaccines in infants and toddlers in the United States has cleared the final hurdles. The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) authorized and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) now recommends COVID-19 vaccines for everyone 6 months and older, and boosters for everyone 5 and older.

COVID-19 Vaccines Enforced In California, Illinois, and Washington D.C.

This year, COVID-19 continues to be a hot topic for school systems in the United States. With the recent vaccine clearances for children ages 6 months and older, states are continuing to develop policies on vaccine requirements in school. Included in the policy topics are updated school mask mandates.

The start of the 22-23 school year will require parents of public schools residing in California, Illinois and Washington D.C. to complete additional action items before enrolling students.
